Common questions
Will Kryn ever ask for my recovery phrase?
Never. No one from Kryn will ask for your recovery phrase or PIN, by email, chat, phone or social media, and we don’t run “wallet validation” or “sync” pages. Anyone who asks for your phrase is trying to steal your funds. Only enter it in the Kryn app, and only when you restore a wallet.
I lost my phone. Can you recover my wallet?
Kryn is a self-custody wallet: your keys exist only on your device, so we can’t recover them. Install Kryn on a new device, choose I already have a wallet and enter your 12- or 24-word recovery phrase. Without the recovery phrase, nobody, including Kryn, can restore your funds.
Which networks and tokens are supported?
USDC and USDT on Arbitrum One. Assets sent from other networks, or other tokens, may not appear in the app and may be lost. Always check the network before you send to your Kryn address.
Why don’t I need ETH?
Network fees are paid in the token you send (or, for a swap, the token you pay with). The app shows the maximum fee before you confirm, and you’re charged the actual fee, which is usually lower.
How do swaps work?
Swaps between USDC and USDT are routed through LI.FI. Before you swap, the app shows the rate, the fee and the minimum you’ll receive, and before signing it checks that the swap pays you at least that minimum.
Can Kryn reverse a transaction or freeze my wallet?
No. Kryn never holds your funds, and transactions on Arbitrum One are final. That’s why the app shows the full address, the network and the maximum fee on the review screen before you confirm. USDC and USDT themselves are issued by Circle and Tether, which apply their own policies to their tokens.
How do I remove my wallet from a device?
Open Settings → Remove wallet. Make sure your recovery phrase is written down first: it’s the only way to restore the wallet later.
I found a security issue.
Thank you. Please email support@krynwallet.xyz with “Security” in the subject and as much detail as you can, and please don’t share it publicly until we’ve had a chance to fix it.
